I spoke on ABC's "The Briefing Room" about a historic student-led referendum on reparative justice for the descendants of the 272 enslaved individuals who were sold to keep Georgetown financially afloat in 1838. I also spoke to their morning podcast, "Start here" about the same topic.
The Hill invited me to discuss the wants and needs of the Arab youth and how U.S. politicians, journalists and citizens can better engage with this growing community of 200 million people. The panel discussed the results of a survey, which collected data from18-24 year olds in 15 Arab states.
While interning at Human Rights Watch, I helped conceive, script and produce video projects. We experimented with explainer-style videos to dissect human rights abuses to a wider audience. I anchored a piece on the poor treatment of U.S. meat workers, which was part of a wider HRW campaign to prevent relaxing regulations in the U.S. meat industry.
